Family Guy's ratings suffered big-time when US network Fox bounced it around the schedule, so (no surprise) it was eventually axed. But the animated sitcom performed unexpectedly well in reruns on pay TV and even better in DVD sales, prompting Fox to revive it — to give series creator Seth MacFarlane two other comedies, American Dad and The Cleveland Show.
