The Sopranos
When it finished: 2007.
Why it sucked: Mob boss Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) spends most of the last season fretting that he'll either be killed or be sent to prison. In the final scene, he goes for dinner with his family as Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin' plays, when the bell over the restaurant door rings, and... cut to black. When this ep aired in the States some angry viewers thought their TVs must've stopped working, though others argue it was an ambiguously perfect note to end the series on.
