The 34-year-old actress announced she had a bun in the oven last month, and it's been revealed that the pregnancy will form a part of her character, Leah's, storyline.
But Home and Away script producer, Louise Bowes, told Yahoo that rewriting the show's plot was no easy task.
"It does throw things out of whack, that's for sure – undoing and redoing the story retrospectively is always a challenge, but having said that, Ada's pregnancy is such lovely news that none of us mind the extra work at all," she said.
"We're just so happy for her and Chris and wish them both well. Anything is possible in Summer Bay, but I can guarantee it'll be an interesting journey for Leah."
Last year, Ada's character suffered a miscarriage after falling pregnant to her friend Miles, but Louise revealed she's dealt with far more awkward script re-writes.
"We were faced with the challenge on All Saints of dealing with Georgie Parker's pregnancy," she said, adding: "that was a tricky one given that Georgie's character was a nun!"
