Us Weekly reports that Brit-Brit is keen for a spot on the judges' panel and has reached out to X Factor's head honcho Simon Cowell.
TV Guide adds that Pink and Janet Jackson are also among the contenders. Internet speculation, which as we all know is reliably reliable 100 per cent of the time, reckons Janet is the most likely singer to sign on to X Factor.
Then again, pretty much every big-name chanteuse is apparently going to be on the show: Beyonce was apparently offered about $10 jillion to judge; Mariah Carey, Katy Perry and Nicky Minaj have also been put forward; and even Whitney Houston was considered before her death.
So basically: who knows who is going to wind up on the show. Simon has confirmed, though, that the two new X Factor judges will definitely be ladies.
All this speculation furore was ignited when Simon recently announced that 2011 X Factor judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger had been fired and wouldn't appear in season two, along with Welsh host Steve Jones.
Speaking of X Factor, auditions are now open for the next Australian season of the show. So if you think you have what it takes to be the next Altiyan Childs or Reece Mastin (snigger), click here for audition details.
