Keen for a guest role in Modern Family? Then start dating star Sarah Hyland: her character, teen ditz Haley Dunphy, is getting a new love interest to be played by Sarah's real-life boyfriend Matt Prokop.

(Of course, you'd have to break them up for your scheme to work. Hmmm...)

You might recognise Matt if you know (or are) a tween: he starred in High School Musical 3 as basically the younger version of Zac Efron's character. He and Sarah apparently met at the casting call for the 2008 movie.

This is far from the first time the couple have appeared onscreen together: they co-starred in the 2011 rom-com Conception, playing teens who make a baby the first time they Do It; they teamed up again in the 2012 Disney Channel movie Geek Charming, playing high-schoolers from different cliques who fall for each other; and they're both in Struck By Lightning, the upcoming teencom written by Glee's Chris Colfer.

Um. Maybe someone wants to tell them that it's healthy for couples to spend time apart?
