The new comedy is about two young ladies (Krysten Ritter and Dreama Walker) who move in together and discover that James Van Der Beek — playing an over-the-top, fictionalised version of himself — is one of their neighbours. Wacky hijinks ensue!
Cain, who hasn't done much of anything since he came to fame playing Superman in Lois and Clark, will also appear as himself in an episode of Apartment 23, playing Van Der Beek's rival. This has the potential to be amazing.
Apartment 23 is clearly keen on roping in as many '90s stars as possible: Kevin Sorbo, the muscle-bound star of Hercules, has also signed on to play himself a guest role.
