It's the latest scandal to sweep American politics: President Obama appeared on US TV and said he doesn't know who Snooki from Jersey Shore is, even though he totally does.

"I got to admit, I don't know who Snooki is," Obama told the hosts of The View when he dropped into the show this week.

However! In May, Obama joked at the White House Correspondent's dinner that several individuals would be excluded from a tax on indoor tanning beds, including Snooki and her Jersey Shore cast mates JWOWW and The Situation.

Gasp! How can the people of the world ever trust anything Obama says anything again?!
