The next Survivor will pit old people against young people

Oh lord I love this show. Old farts v younger know it alls....doesn't matter....we're talking about it that's what's important. One of the few reality shows that is still good and even better than when it started. Jeff Probst rocks. Australian reality show producers watch and weep at how successful Survivor still is. Big Brother...Popstars... Someone's getting married...Australian Princess.... where are all these shows now? Australian Idol will be the next to go. The tribe has spoken indeed.

I say enough is enough! Isn't everyone sick to death of this show? I can't believe anyone watches it anymore. Yawn.

I will actually watch this one. Agree with other comments. Specially the one about young sitting about preening and whining while others work and use initiative. Hee hee! Us older generationers are still here cause we've done hard yards. Know how to make do and are the legs younger folks stand on. WE ARE THE ONES WHO PICK UP THE PIECES WHEN OUR OFFSPRING STUFF UP BIGTIME. My kids are early 20's. They know that there is always an empty room, an open heart and a listening ear. Younger critics might think we're slow but we have a go! An older friend of mine has a saying she uses on her grown up? offspring. I love it! I MIGHT BE SQUARE RIGHT NOW BUT I'LL BE AROUND LATER! Go the Geezers! By 53 and fancy free! Proud to be an' oldie'. Hey! Sign me up as well! Might be able to shift that last couple of kilos i stuck on. Besides, i fancy a holiday? An island sounds fine. Fishing, swimming, hunter gathering. And, lots of SLEEP. Only thing i wouldn't be keen on is personal clashes. Dampener!!

i love how old people get so argumentive about the young generation....ever wonder why the young generation is as bad as it is? your generation are horrible parents..

I have to agree with Cat, what about the 30 - 40 year olds???? They seem to be in the no man's land of age. Equivalent to the teenage years? I've watched every season of Survivor that has aired in Aus and I love it. This one should be interesting to watch the young group sit around and wait for other people to do the hard work whilst they preen themselves and complain incessantly.

It sounds different and new - something they haven't tried before - which is why I love Survivor !!! It never gets old when they keep coming up with new ideas. From a 46 year old perspective - literally one foot in the grave - I say you go you good things - show those young'ns a think or too - they might have more physical strength - but do they have the stamina !!!! I DOUBT IT !!!!

What about people between thirty and forty? Which group do they go in?

At 57 I gaurrantee I could out-do the lot of em. Boy its annoying to keep reading how 40+ is considered old I didnt gain full strength till 45 ! Physically and peak Mental prowess at 50 ish. Us old geezers may be less fit but we have more nous and stamina than the young blokes.

I know some who like to be contestants on survivor who are aussie in their 40s, be good to see that happen.
