Alec Baldwin (still) says he's leaving 30 Rock

30 Rock's leading man Alec Baldwin still reckons he'll leave the sitcom that's earned him two Emmy Awards when his contract expires in 2012.

"As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life... I think that doing this now for a living has become really, really hard," he told CNN, according to the AV Club. "I would rather go do other things, and whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have a normal life."

Baldwin has never been coy about his plans to depart 30 Rock: he first announced plans to quit before the second season had even premiered (right around the time he was busted calling his 11-year-old daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig"), and in 2009 he told Playboy he wanted out.

The New York Post reports that the 52-year-old might move into politics after retiring from acting — which hardly counts as a normal life.
