Reality TV starlet Whitney Port says The City has not been cancelled, in the face of rumours claiming MTV will dump the show when its current second season wraps up.

"I want to clear the air and let you all know that the rumors that have been circulating about The City being canceled are NOT true!" Whitney wrote on her official blog. "I am 100% committed to the show and thank you all for being the best fans!"

Whitney would say that, but MTV has backed her up: According to NBC New York, the network is standing behind the reality show.
