My Kitchen Rules' 'Spice Girls' eliminated amid boycotting fans and online 'trolls'

After a roller-coaster run on My Kitchen Rules marred by racial abuse on social media, "Spice Girls" Jessie Khan and Biswa Kamila have been eliminated from the show. This has resulted in some fans boycotting the series for good.

Jessie, 25, and Biswa, 23, managed to incur the wrath of viewers on social media after their actions on the show came across as antagonistic.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Jessie indicated the negativity came as a shock. "We didn't expect this reaction. We didn't think people would take us so seriously. The reaction has been out of proportion."

Jessie believed they were misrepresented by the producers and were "just being ourselves".

"We're not such horrible people who hate everyone all the time," Jessie said. "It was nothing like that and we came across to the public as such negative people."

"That [editing] really upset me in the end because I knew that wasn't me. They filmed me smiling when actually I was reacting to them being praised by the judges and that wasn't what it seemed like on [air]," she said.

Their exit has even prompted some high-profile fans to call for a boycott over what they perceive as "trolling" attitudes towards the pair online.

Triple M radio host Mark Geyer posted a video discussing his reaction to the negative campaign and swearing off the show for good.

"I hope all those people out there are the keyboard warriors who are tweeting and facebooking bad remarks about them are happy ... these are two girls having a go in life and they’ve been ridiculed for it. I won’t be watching it anymore, that’s it, our family won’t be watching this show," MG said.

Every series needs its bad guys, right?
