Former Yellow Wiggle Sam Moran has signed with Foxtel's Nick Jr for his very own kids' show, his first gig since being fired from The Wiggles in 2012 and replaced with former member Greg Page.
While he still can be seen in re-runs of old Wiggles episodes on Foxtel's Disney Jr channel, the 34-year-old doesn't see this new venture as competition.
"I don't see it that way. I think the more quality entertainment that's out there for children, the better," he told The Daily Telegraph.
"I had a few offers but I wanted to make sure it was the right project. When Nickelodeon came to me with this idea, it worked in well with the project I had already been developing myself.
"The songs are new. But it's still going to be the same old Sam that children have come to know."
The new show will begin filming this month and will go to air on Nick Jr this April.
Not long after Sam's exodus in January 2012, founding Wiggle members Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page retired in May 2012 and were replaced in 2013 by Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce and the new yellow skivvy wearer Emma Watkins.
The band are nearly unrecognisable except for original member Anthony Field still in the band, as well as those ridiculous '90s skivvies.
