Network Seven news reporter Talitha Cummins revealed yesterday she is now four months sober after joining the Hello Sunday Morning quit program.
"I was a big drinker," Talitha told The Daily Telegraph.
"Anyone who knows me, knows that. I drank to celebrate, I drank to commiserate, I drank because I had a busy day, a boring day, a holiday. For years, drinking was my hobby."
"But in the last four years it turned ugly. The first sip unleashed an unstoppable need for more and more.
"A binge could end six hours later, or it could end two days later. After every one, I was left with incredible feelings of self-hatred, guilt and riddled with anxiety.
"I experienced blackouts every time I drank. I did things I'm not proud of. And probably things I'll never know I did because I simply can't remember."
We wonder if Talitha remembers that "erected" slip-up she made back in July when talking about Tony Abbott being "elected" see the video below.
It's great to see that the brave 35-year-old is feeling confident and healthy again.
"My confidence is returning and my health is good. I can run 10km easily. I'm training for marathons," she said.
