If there's one thing the trailer for the 14-part reality TV series "docuseries" about Whitney Houston's family teaches us, it's that it’s never soon to exploit a revered singer's death to launch her daughter's career.
The Houstons: On Our Own has been pegged as a respectful look at the lives of Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina, her mother Cissy, her sister-in-law Pat and her brother Gary.
Fans can expect plotlines like Pat trying to keep the large family together, the Houston clan trying to help Bobbi Kristina deal with the heartbreaking loss of her mother, and Bobbi Kristina wanting to marry her "adoptive brother" Nick Gordon. Wait ... what?
Yes, Whitney raised Nick since he was a teenager, and after years of considering him her brother, Bobbi Kristina is going to marry him. Judging by the clip above, the family does not support this union.
But we don't hear Bobbi Kristina complaining. Husband-to-be Nick tweeted a pic of her engagement ring, and it's giving off some pretty strong Princess Diana vibes.
While we wish Bobbi Kristina and her family the best of luck with everything, we can’t help but want to remind them why they should have never, ever done a reality TV show.
