The heart-throb tried the Filipino delicacy "balut" during a recent holiday to one of the country’s island volcanos. And to prove he went through with it — he asked a pal to videotape him as he peeled the egg and gulped down its contents.
The 24-year-old High School Musical star showed the clip during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, boasting that he enjoyed the snack so much he asked for seconds.
"There was a fully-formed little bird in the egg ... It wasn't that bad. I ate, like, three more that day," Zac claimed.
"There was, like, a hard part with, like, the beak and stuff. I didn't want to eat that."
Balut is a duck embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell. The broth like snack is believed to be an aphrodisiac. So there you go, Zefron fans — that's the way to get him in the mood for romance.
