When Ava entered the Big Brother house as an intruder, she knew she was the underdog. She had to play nice and make new friends fast.
Well, she played especially nice with Josh. The pair became the first official couple of the Big Brother house this year.
"It was spectacular," the recent evictee told TheFIX.
"It caught us both by surprise. It was very natural for us, and it still is," she said. "I'm very chuffed to have met him. He's a good egg."
Ava remained coy about what the future holds for them — she lives in Victoria, while Josh is from South Australia.
"Stay tuned folks, there may be a Big Brother wedding around the corner," she joked.
The relationship caused a bit of conflict in the house — Ava was dubbed "Yoko Ono" for sort of "stealing" Josh away from his mate Michael.
"Look, it may have looked like there was animosity there, but there wasn't any at all. It was very tongue-in-cheek, and it was all in good fun," Ava said.
"I think Michael got a bit green at one point because he thought I would interfere with the bromance but then we got that sorted in the end. He realised I'm not all bad."
Overall, Ava's time in the Big Brother house was a remarkable adventure.
"It was a beautiful chapter for the Ava storybook," she said.
