Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina has defended her bizarre behaviour on Dr Phil, denying claims she had been drinking prior to the televised interview.
"I was absolutely not under [the influence], intoxicated, or on any kind of medication. I was extremely upset," Dina told Entertainment Tonight.
Ex-husband Michael Lohan wasn't convinced by the explanation.
Speaking to RumorFix, Michael called Dina "a disease that won't go away", claiming she only agreed to the follow-up interview to try "change public opinion".
"What? Did she sober up for a day to do the show?" Michael asked.
Well, whatever she did to prepare herself for the Entertainment Tonight interview, it worked. She was markedly more coherent, and even gave advice to other parents with wayward kids.
"Just be around ... It's hard when your daughter's not, you know, over 18, and you want to let them go ... and they want to, you know, feel like they're in control of themselves," she said.
