Ian "Dicko" Dickson has criticised the parents of teenaged X Factor finalist Shiane Hawke.
Speaking to 2UE radio, the former Australian Idol judge said he believed the 14-year-old is "not ready" to face public scrutiny.
"She's wearing [braces] ... she can't enunciate the songs properly," he said.
"Why on Earth didn't her mother wait a year until the braces came off?”
While Dicko conceded that it would be eight years before Shiane found her "real self and her real voice", her father Andrew has said she's "coping well".
"As long as it's fun and an adventure, then it's all good," Andrew told the NT News.
And what an adventure: Reports have surfaced that Shiane might be rubbing shoulders with a very special guest tonight.
According to News Limited, Pink has touched down in Australia three days before her scheduled arrival, and might perform on tonight's show, jetlag and all!
Pink is visiting the country until early October to promote her new album The Truth About Love, which has just become this year's fastest-selling album locally. Click here to preview it.
