Real-life <i>Home and Away</i> couple Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving split

Only three months after they went public about their relationship, Home and Away co-stars Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving have reportedly called it quits.

According to the Herald Sun, both actors have been seen with other people in recent weeks.

Axle, 31, was seen in late August with a brunette at a bar in Surry Hills, Sydney. Samara, 20, was later spotted cuddling up to a new squeeze in Sydney's inner west.

Neither of the pair's reps would comment on the split, and their Twitter accounts don't give anything away (other than the fact that they're still following one another).

The timing is ironic given the pair's romance has spilled into a currently on-air plot in Summer Bay. Their H & A characters Liam and Indi hooked up for the first time in episodes that aired in late August.

On the topic of H & A couples, Samara's on-screen estranged husband Luke Mitchell is engaged to former co-star Rebecca Breeds. Rebecca, 25, has just scored herself a lead role in an as-yet-unnamed US TV comedy pilot with Monk star Tony Shalhoub, produced by How I Met Your Mother creator Rob Greenberg.
