Farmer wants a pole dancer: New Farmer series promises more bikinis, less flannies

This year’s series of Farmer Wants a Wife looks set to be a little less “meat and potatoes” than in previous years.

The hit reality dating series will begin with a bang on August 15, with the first episode promising bikini-clad speed dating, sneaky moments in the corner and even a pole dance!

But will the racy and revealing city girls win the hearts of farmers Matt, Tom, Paul, Nikko, Sam and Todd?

The eligible bachelors will be making some hard decisions at the end of the first night when they have to pick just three lucky ladies to vie for their attention back at the homestead.

And what happens when they inevitably all pick the pole dancer? Well, then she takes her pick. Hello, cowboys!

There'll also be a couple of sneaky surprises in store for the lads.

The shock arrival of a fourth could-be-wife (chosen by the farmers' families) will shake things up a little, not to mention some metrosexual makeovers for the boys and country makeovers (or makeunders) for the girls.

Do those bikinis come in red checkered flannelette? Yee-ha.
