Executive producer Alex Mavroidakis (aka 'the man behind Big Brother') reveals on the show's official site that this year's contestants are all harbouring secrets.
"The Housemates will be told not be closed books," says Alex. "Be under no illusion these people will be open, honest and entertaining. The only thing they have been instructed not to reveal about themselves is their one secret. How this plays out, you will have to wait and see, but trust me, you will not believe some of the secrets. I promise you they are all true!"
What if the secrets get out?
"There is every chance that with the explosion of social media and a little thing called Google that some of the secrets will be relatively easy for the public to find out," says Alex. "Some will be very challenging to guess and you can play along at home. Either way, the housemates do not have the luxuries of external help and it will be very entertaining to watch them try and discover secrets about each other."
Alex gives the hot tip that some of the secrets will even be revealed during Monday's "unmissable" launch night, when the 14 housemates enter the Big Brother house.
And it sounds like plenty more surprises are planned for the first week, with a second live show scheduled for Tuesday night.
"Once you have watched the launch show, all will become clear," says Alex. "But Tuesday night is big live event television and Wednesday night will be another major reveal."
Could they be talking evictions … already?
