Young Home and Away hotties Luke Mitchell and Rebecca Breeds are engaged to be married. Congratulations, guys!
Luke, 27, proposed to Rebecca, 24, in April on a romantic four-day holiday in Hayman Island, Queensland. Luke had secretly planned the proposal for three months.
"Honestly, it was one of the most difficult things I've ever done in my life. I had the element of surprise — I didn't tell anyone what I was planning, not a soul, not even my parents," Luke told New Idea.
"But pretending there was nothing special on my mind for three months before I actually asked her to marry me — that was the best acting I've ever done!"
Rebecca said she almost forgot to say 'yes' when Luke turned up on bended knee with a ring.
While no date has been set yet, the pair don't plan for a long engagement.
"There's a film out at the moment, The Five Year Engagement, but I don't think that's how we're going to roll," she said.
The genetically blessed couple first hooked up in 2009 not long after Luke scored the role of Romeo Smith on the show. Rebecca plays his on-again, off-again lover Ruby Buckton, the third wheel in a love triangle between Romeo and his wife Indi (Samara Weaving).
